Eutectics™’ CEO Jeremy Kalin authored Minnesota’s PACE legislation while serving in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011. Jeremy also chaired the state’s Green Jobs Task Force, and helped write the nation’s strongest energy efficiency standard, which has gained national attention as a working model for good energy policy. Jeremy is a Senior Fellow for clean energy financing at GOVERNING, and is a Senior Advisor to the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators climate and clean energy policy. He’s spoken at the White House, the National Press Club and the U.S. Senate, as well as numerous trade and finance conferences across the country.

Managing Director & Chief Legal Officer Julie Padilla brings over 15 years of political, regulatory and legal experience to Eutectics™. Most recently, Julie was a partner and Shareholder at Larkin Hoffman Daly & Lindgren in Minneapolis, practicing in the areas of land use, regulatory law and government relations. She also served as staff at both the Minnesota State Senate and the United States Senate, and as general counsel for a national non-profit service organization.

Managing Director Ian Schonwald  joined Eutectics™ after eight years in construction finance.  Much of his work was in analyzing large companies and projects from an insurance perspective.  Ian holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Emory University and an MBA from the University of Maryland with a dual concentration in finance and marketing. Previous work experience includes both consulting and real estate development.

Research Analyst Virginia Rutter comes to Eutectics™ with a background in public finance and environmental policy, having worked in the private, governmental and nonprofit sectors in Minnesota and California. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy Analysis and Biology from Pomona College and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs with a focus on energy policy

Senior Advisor Jeremy de Fiebre served as the lead clean energy finance staffer for the Minnesota Department of Commerce for more than 2 decades, with 33 years of total service to the State of Minnesota. Jeremy de Fiebre is widely regarded as one of the smartest Minnesotans on issues of clean energy financing, particularly the public-private tools like PACE financing.

Office Manager Jeff Mauk, brings a variety of experience to his position, from entertainment management to public relations to campaigns.  After college, Jeff pursued a career in entertainment that took him to Hollywood as a background actor in some of his favorite television shows.   In 2007, Jeff moved back to Minnesota to begin a career in public policy,  working at the Minnesota House of Representatives and on campaigns from the State House to the Governorship. Since 2009, Jeff has been helping clean energy leaders succeed by managing projects for CLEAN, the Coalition of Legislators for Energy Action Now, and the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators.
